  • Cats/Dogs - All cats/dogs must be registered, by the owner, with the city of Park Hills. Licenses cost five dollars and are issued yearly on and after January 1st by the City Clerk. All dogs in Park Hills are subject to the city's leash law which states that dogs are not allowed out of their owner's yard unless under the control of their owner. Dog owners must also remove any excrement left by their dogs while walking them on property other than their own.

  • Garage and Yard Sales - A Permit is required to hold a garage or yard ale. Permits cost five dollars and may be obtained from the City Clerk. The cost of a second permit is twenty-five dollars. Only two sales are permitted a year.

  • Garbage/Recycling - Trash and recycling pickup is on Wednesday. You are billed for these services on your property tax bill each fall. Trash Service for one household run slightly over $100 per year. If you experience problems with your trash or recycling service, please call city hall at 431-6252. All complaints are immediately paged to our provider. All issues will be handled immediately and all complaints will be logged. No garbage/recycling cans are allowed out before 6:00 p.m. on the night prior to pickup. Cans must be retrieved from the day of the pickup. Our provider accepts almost anything of any size with the exceptions of items containing Freon or hazardous wastes. Brush or branches must be tied in lengths not greater than 5 feet.

  • Leaf Pick-Up - Each fall the City of Park Hills provides leaf pickup service. The city will notify a street a few days before the pick up. This will give you time to rake your leaves to the edge of your yard. Please do not rake your leaves into the street. This causes a parking and safety hazard. It also clogs sewers.
Note - Our trash haulers will accept leaves in garbage bags if you miss the citywide pick up.

  • Public Works Department can be reached by calling 431-6252.

  • Red Recycling Bins are used to flag the recycling truck. If you put your recycling in another container, you will still want to put out your red recycling bin (even if it's empty). The bin flags the driver that you have recycling to turn in. Please bag all papers and place the bag in the bin. Red recycling bins and stickers for other containers holding recyclable materials can be obtained from the city. Call 431-6252.

  • Sidewalks - Homeowners are responsible for upkeep and maintenance of their sidewalks. Potholes and uneven surfaces should be fixed at the owner's expense.

  • Smoke Detectors - Smoke Detectors are required in all Park Hills dwellings, privately owned or rented for occupancy.

  • Snow Removal - A snow emergency is declared in the city if the snowfall reaches three inches or greater. All cars must be removed from the street or they will be ticketed/towed at the owner's expense. Please do not push snow onto the street when clearing your driveway or sidewalk. Homeowners are expected to clean their sidewalks after a snowfall.

  • Speed Limits - The City of Park Hills is filled it narrow winding, and hilly roads. As a result the speed limit is strictly enforced to assure safety. Most areas of the city have a 20 mph speed limit.; some areas may be posted at 30 mph.

  • Street Sweeping - park hills generally sweeps the streets two times per year. The first time is the week before the Memorial Day Parade. The second cleaning is scheduled a week before Luminary Night in early December.
